Day 3 and 4 Cheltenham Festival Horse Racing Tips | Best Bets

History Of Cheltenham Gold Cup

Thursday 15th March Top Cheltenham Horse Tips

Well the first day of the Cheltenham festival is over and it was a mixed day for favorite backers. The well touted odds on Fav treble was let down by Hurricane Fly. Bookies lost out on the last race when Hunt Ball came in as 13/2Fav. Anyways on to better things below are the best horse tips on offer for day 3 and day 4 off the Cheltenham Festival. The “sure thing” for Thursday is Boston Bob in the 2.40 Albert Barlett Novices Hurdle.

1:30 Jewson Novices Chase (Grade 2) 2m4f

Peddlers cross interestingly has opted for the Jewsons rather than the Arkle. Obviously not at his best otherwise he surely would have gone for the latter. He still goes off as favourite at around 3/1. Sir Ds Champs is another fancied Mullins horse and should be there or there abouts. I'm going to opt for some value and go for Champion Court with AP Cawley on board. He likes Prestbury Park and the distance is perfect, hasn't had a string of wins like some others but has been solid throughout just coming up short to the likes of Grand Crus and Bobs Worth.

2.05 Pertemps Final (handicap hurdle) (listed race) (Class 1) (5yo+)

Sivola de Sivola is second favourite but is down the pecking order for qualifing for this race. So if he is declared to run. Snap him up quick. 6/1 at the moment with everyone.

If not try Pipes Our Father, not been out the top two places in the last 4 races.

14.40 Ryanair Chase (Grade1) (Class 1) (5yo+) 2m5f

The Three horses I like in this race are Riverside Theatre, Rubi Light, Noble Prince. But I'll put my money on Noble Prince as as he won the Jewson Novice at Cheltenham last year. He has spent most of the season running over 2miles but the longer trip could well suit.

3.20 Ladbrokes World Hurdle (Grade 1) – 3m

Big Bucks (4 in a row?)/ Oscar Whisky

4.40 Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup (Amateur) (Class 2) 3m1f110y

Won comfortably last time out so possibly hitting form at the right time.

Friday 16th March

13:30 JCB Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) (Class 1) (4YO only) – 2m 1f

Yet another great contest with the likes of Grumeti, Sadlers Risk, Baby Mix Pearl Swan and Balder Success. There's not much between this lot but I'll head for value yet again in the shape of Pearl Swan. Won at Cheltenham against Grumeti but was disqualified for bumping. Paul Nicholls rates him and thinks he should be favourite so grab the 7/1 at Stan James.

2.40 Albert Barlett Novices Hurdle  (Grade 1) – 3m

Boston Bob looks a good bet for this race, it was looking as he was going to run on the Wednesday but this longer trip should suit.

3.20 Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (Grade 1) 3m 2f 110y

The race that epotomises Cheltenham. The nations favourite horse Kauto Star should be ok to run after a fall in schooling a few weeks back. We're not too sure what effect if any this will have on the 12 year old. Long Run is a deserved favourite but won't have it all his own way this time round and is too short amonst a decent field.

I'm hedging my bets for this one and taking two E/W
